Changing Seasons is a family-owned senior living provider with four communities across San Antonio, TX, from intimate cottages to larger social settings. Every resident is known by name and cared for like family.

Danny Kitchen grew up in senior care. His mother ran communities too, and he was right there alongside her from the beginning. That's where he learned what matters most, not just how to care for people, but how much it means to the families trusting you with someone they love.
When he built Changing Seasons, he carried all of that with him. More personal communities. Real kitchens at the center of daily life. Caregivers who know every resident by name. Four communities across San Antonio, TX, with over 40 years of combined family experience behind them.
Danny named it Changing Seasons because that's what life does. It changes. The place that takes care of you doesn't have to.
We know this isn't easy. Searching for the right place for someone you love is one of the hardest things a family goes through.
The guilt, the worry, the wondering if you're making the right call. We've sat across from thousands of families feeling exactly what you're feeling right now. Whether you're ready to move forward or just starting to explore, we're here.
Call us, visit us, ask us anything. We'd rather help you find the right answer than rush you into one.

Changing Seasons provides assisted living at all four of its communities across the San Antonio, TX area, and memory care at the Cottages at Danny Kaye community. Assisted living covers everything from light daily support to significant hands-on care including medication management, mobility help, great food, and daily routines. Every community is licensed to provide the full range of assisted living care in Texas, so residents never need to move to another community when life changes.
Changing Seasons has four communities across the San Antonio, TX area: Cottages at Danny Kaye (San Antonio), Honey's House of Helotes (Helotes), Changing Seasons of Castroville (Castroville), and Changing Seasons of Blanco (San Antonio). The cottages are smaller, home-style settings with roughly 16 beds each. Blanco is larger with almost 70 beds and a more social, active atmosphere. All four are family-owned and staffed around the clock.
The cottages at Danny Kaye, Helotes, and Castroville are smaller, quieter homes built around a central kitchen where great food is prepared right in front of residents. The staff-to-resident ratio is roughly 1 to 4, and the feel is intimate and personal. Blanco is a larger community with more residents, more activities, and a more social atmosphere. Both offer the same standard of care. The right fit depends on whether someone prefers a smaller setting or a more active one.
It starts with a tour so you can see the community and meet the team. From there, we do a care assessment to understand what level of support is needed, followed by a deposit to reserve the spot, a care plan meeting to walk through everything before move-in, and then move-in day itself. The care plan meeting can be done in person or virtually for families who aren't local.

We invite you to visit our community, meet our team, and experience the warm, home-like environment that makes Changing Seasons so special.
